Mr. Anthony J. Magee, managing member of Magee Legal, PLLC, has been selected to serve as a 2022-2023 Texas Bar Foundation Nominating Chair for District 6. Nominating Chairs for each of the 17 State Bar of Texas districts identify elite nominees to join the Foundation as Fellows. Nominating Chairs of the Foundation are selected for their outstanding professional achievements and their demonstrated commitment to the Texas Bar Foundation. Selection is a mark of distinction and recognition of Mr. Magee's contributions to the legal profession.
Anthony Magee is a commercial litigator and intellectual property attorney and counselor. For over 35 years, he has represented individuals and business owners in defending and enforcing their intellectual property rights and other commercial interests-first, as a London barrister and then as an attorney in Dallas, Texas. For over 20 years, Anthony has been awarded the Martindale-Hubbell® AV Preeminent® peer review rating for the highest level of professional excellence for legal knowledge, communication skills, and ethical standards. He has been named to the annual list of Texas Super Lawyers® since 2013 for Intellectual Property Litigation and has been listed in America's Top 100 High Stakes Litigators® for Northern Texas since 2018. For the past decade, he has been recognized annually in The Best Lawyers in America® by BL Rankings in two practice areas: Litigation-Intellectual Property and Litigation-Patent and has also been recognized this year in the practice area of Commercial Litigation. Selection as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation is restricted to members of the State Bar of Texas. Each year one-third of one percent of Texas attorneys are invited to become Fellows. Once nominees are selected, they must be elected by the Texas Bar Foundation Board of Trustees. Membership has grown from an initial 255 Charter Members in 1965 to more than 10,000 Fellows throughout Texas today. Founded by attorneys determined to assist the public and improve the profession of law, the Texas Bar Foundation has maintained its mission of using the financial contributions of its membership to enhance the rule of law and the system of justice in Texas.
